drug used to treat chronic constipation. It is marketed in the US with a trade
name of Amitiza. Amitiza softens the stool by increasing its water content in
the bowel, so the stool can pass easily. You can take this medicine twice in a
day with your food. Various side effects that you might experience with
Lubiprostone are headache, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.
